L'oreal CC Creams

After the whole explosion of BB creams last year, the next thing in the line are CC Creams. Like BB Creams, CC Creams are quite popular in Asia but L'Oreal are the first brand to bring them to the mainstream beauty world.

CC Creams are 'improved and refined BB Creams', and are used for their skincare benefits as well as adding coverage and providing a natural looking coverage.

L'Oreal Paris are introducing three new Nude Magique CC Creams - one for Anti-Dullness, one for Anti- Fatigue and one for Anti-Redness.

Nude Magique CC Cream for Anti-Dullness

The first of the 3 is targeted for Anti-Dullness. L'Oreal claim that this CC Cream works with your natural skin tone to 'help neutralise the appearance of dull, yellow looking skin'. It contains smart pigment capsules in a feather-light mauve hydrator that transform into foundation on the skin, which I imagine to be similar to the beads in the L'Oreal  BB cream. All of the CC Creams have a 'buildable, lightweight coverage' which will help achieve that 'perfect nude look'.

Nude Magique CC Cream for Anti-Redness

The Anti-Redness CC Cream contains the same smart pigment capsules but in a feather-light green hydrator to help cancel out redness and neutralise skin tone. As with both of the other CC Creams, it claims to have a weightless, lightweight coverage.

Nude Magique CC Cream for Anti-Fatigue

L'Oreal claim that this cream works with your natural skin tone to 'help wake up tired looking skin'. The smart pigment capsules in this cream are a feather-light apricot hydrator, that again turn into foundation on the skin. 

L'Oreal CC Creams are available in selected Boots stores now but available everywhere right now from the Boots website.

Personally, I think I'll give the Anti-Fatigue and Anti-Dullness formulae a go. Boots currently have a 2 for £15 on selected L'Oreal products, including the CC Creams, so I'm definitely encouraged to pick them up!

How I fill in my eyebrows

I used to absolutely hate filling in my eyebrows, I always thought it made me look like a clown. As I slowly returned to doing it, I actually figured out HOW to do it (which was really the problem all along) and now my eyebrows are probably the one thing I get most compliments on, so I thought I'd share how I do it. It's really simple but my brows are still quite defined.

Products I use;

HD Brows kit in Vamp (I use the bottom two shades - dark brown to outline and for the tail & rich brown for the front part of the brow)

Collection lasting perfection concealer in Fair

Essence Lash & Brow gel

I've tried different brow kits/shadows/pencils/brushes etc. but right now these are all my favourite products.

My natural brows

First I start off by outlining my brow with the dark brown from the HD Brows palette, and filling in the tail. I keep to the shape but extend my brow slightly. I use a very defined angled brush for this.

Then I fill in the front part of my brows with the rich brown and a slightly smaller but denser angled brush. I fade out the shadow towards the front of my brow.

My final steps are to first brush my brows out with a spoolie to spread the colour, and then to outline my brows with concealer and a small, dense synthetic brush. It doesn't really matter which concealer I use to me, right now I'm using Collection lasting perfection. Then I finally brush clear mascara through my brows to set them in place and that is them done.

Hello lovelies! Long time no see, eh? I've been pretty busy for the past while but decided to get back into the swing of things by doing a Nails of the Day post with one of my favourites, if not my favourite, nail colour ever

Rimmel London - 704 Sweet As Sugar

Blue is my favourite colour, pair that with my love for pastels and you can see why I love this colour so much. I haven't found another blue quite like this.

It's not crazy long lasting but without a top coat, it'll last a day or two without chipping. It's a perfect spring colour (which I am longing for oh so bad). It looks GREAT with a tan as well, even without a tan it gives my hands such a glow. I love this nail varnish to death.
